  • DJs at the Polls is a national, non-partisan Get Out the Vote program that places DJs at polling sites with large numbers of underrepresented voters to help those communities celebrate Election Day. Founded in 2009 in Philadelphia by Anton Moore and some friends, DJs at the Polls has grown into a national movement.
    Based on a 2022 randomized control trial in Philadelphia, at polling sites where our DJs performed, voter turnout increased 3%.

    For the 2024 federal election, DJs at the Polls placed more than 3000 DJs at nearly 6000 polling sites across eleven states.

  • We are planning for DJs at the Polls to continue to provide entertainment and bring joy to polling sites during all kinds of elections - local and national - for years to come.

  • We would LOVE to be everywhere…and maybe some day we will be. But right now we are activating in areas with large numbers of “low-propensity” voters: those registered voters who sometimes vote…but not always, with the hopes of encouraging them to Get out the Vote!

  • In several large urban centers: Philly, Detroit, Atlanta, Charlotte- you’re very likely to have a DJ at your poll. In other places, we tried to spread around the DJs so that at least some voters in every part of the states where we are active will have the opportunity to celebrate with us.

    As a volunteer, you will be able to work from home, from your computer, and still have a measurable impact as part of our joyful organization.

    In some states, we may also have on-the-ground opportunities to support DJs in the field.

  • We’ll be active in 24 states this election. In some states, where there’s a statewide election, we’ll be present statewide; in others, we’ll focus specifically on districts with congressional races on the ballot. Every location we choose is driven by our research: we only go where we can make a meaningful, measurable impact on voter turnout.
